It is one of the most beautiful communities in Spain but, fortunately, mass tourism has not yet invaded it. This is possibly one of the main assets of Cantabria, which offers everything a traveler can look for: incredible landscapes, excellent gastronomy, art, culture, history and, of course, spectacular beaches.
This community in northern Spain has some 220 kilometers of coastline, where you can find all kinds of beaches: small, large, rugged, urban, quiet, secluded, open to the ocean ... Oyambre beach
The first beach we want to show you is the Oyambre beach, located in the Oyambre Natural Park, next to the estuary of the Ría de la Rabia and very close to San Vicente de la Barquera and Comillas. As you can see in the image, it is an extensive sandy area that stands out for combining the dunes with the leafy vegetation. In addition, it is important to note that it is quite isolated.
Langre Beach
The next beach on our list is Langre, which is located in the municipality of Ribamontán al Mar, one kilometer from the town of Langre. Surrounded by cliffs, This beach is usually quite frequented by surfers due to the frequent waves in the area. In addition, at one extreme both fishermen and hobbyists snorkel they will enjoy the beautiful.
Berria beach
We continue our tour of the most beautiful beaches of Cantabria in Santoña, where the Berria beach is located, an extensive sandy area of about 2 kilometers long that is characterized by the cleaning of its waters and its sand and for the scenic beauty of its surroundings.
Somo Beach
Another beach that cannot be missing from this list is that of Somo, which, together with the beaches of Loredo and El Puntal, form an extensive stretch of sand about 4 kilometers long. To be open to the sea, it is characterized by strong waves, which is why it is usually very frequented by surfers.
The Arnía
We also want to tell you about La Arnía beach, which is located in the surroundings of Santander, specifically in the municipality of Piélagos. Stands out for its beautiful landscape formed by cliffs, rocks and islets, in addition to having an impressive platform of abrasion. Its sand is golden and fine and the waves are moderate.
Covachos Beach
Very close to La Arnía is the Covachos beach, a small sandy area of immense beauty that stands out for its islet which is located in front of the sand. We refer to the Islote de Covachos, which joins the beach at low tide. Nudist and quiet, on this beach you can enjoy spectacular views.
Trengandín beach
We also want to tell you about Trengandín beach, a beautiful and extensive sandy area located in Noja. With fine golden sand and crystal clear waters, the beach offers a tranquility absolute, among other things thanks to its extension. In addition, it should not be forgotten that it is located next to the Santoña Marshes.

Knowing that we have left many beautiful beaches in the inkwell, we will end by talking about one of the most beautiful sandy areas in Laredo. We refer to La Salvé, one of the longest beaches in the entire community. Best of all, it retains its beauty despite having all kinds of services: toilets, showers, hammock rental, a yacht club ...
