The most populated cities in the world

According to the latest report “Prospects for World Urbanization” of the Un, in the year 2050 two thirds of the world population will be concentrated in urban areas. It appears that the greatest growth will occur in countries in Asia and Africa such as China, India and Nigeria. Tokyo is, today, the most populous city in the world, with 38 million inhabitants. In fact, it is considered the city with the most inhabitants since 1965. Although it does not coincide with the UN data, according to Citypopulation, a company that is responsible for carrying out population statistics in countries, administrative areas, cities and agglomerations, the second most populous city on the planet is Guangzhou, China, which has 32.6 million inhabitants. The capital of the Canton province, also known as Canton, is the most important city in the south of the country, partly due to its location. Shanghai

The fourth most populous city in the world is located in Indonesia. This is Jakarta which, according to Citypopulation, has a population of 27 million inhabitants. New Delhi

Tokyo is followed by New Delhi, which, as you know, is the capital of the India. As of today it has 25 million inhabitants, although it is expected to reach 36 million in 2030.
