The Paradores They are increasingly attractive for tourism, especially because they are located in spectacular places with an environment worth enjoying. Big cities or small towns, in any Parador Nacional you will feel like your own home, and each year the accommodation in them is much higher, having to book in many cases several months in advance to get a room.
In many of the Paradores you will not only find a beautiful setting and a fantastic hotel, but there are also other services such as spa or sport activities, which may vary depending on the location of each Parador. Today I would like to write about the most successful ones in this 2012 that is about to end, so if you have the opportunity to visit them next year, don't think about it !:
Parador de Santiago de Compostela
Is in the Obradoiro Square, the same place where the famous Santiago Cathedral is. It is considered the oldest hotel in the world and the rooms are decorated as they were several centuries ago.
Parador de Plasencia
It is in the city center and has a pool and other interesting places like a night bar, a spectacular hall or a grand staircase. Especially highlight the old cellar they have at the bottom, where the bar is.
Parador de Cruz de Tejeda
It is on the island of Gran canaria And it is very famous for its spa, which has an outdoor pool that extends into the forest. Their food is also really spectacular and totally focused on Canarian gastronomy.
Parador de La Granja
It is inside the Royal Site of La Granja, in Segovia, and it is a Parador that makes you feel like you are in a real palace. It has 16 meeting rooms and all kinds of events are held there.
Parador de Cáceres
The most valued of this hotel are its rooms, which are very spacious and all with a different decoration. It is a Parador that greatly protects the environment, using low consumption devices and taking great care not to use anything polluting.
Parador de Monforte de Lemos
Another of the Galician Paradores, spectacular thanks to its location, in high on a hill and with stunning views. You can hire excursions by the river or by several of the most important wineries in the area.
Parador de La Gomera
In the La Gomera island, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, there is this Parador that has two buildings. One of them is a modern one that resembles the Galician pazos and is where the rooms are. The other is a spectacular tower with different services, such as a restaurant, bars, etc.
