The best beaches and coves in Tenerife


The island of Tenerife, in the Canary archipelago, has the luxury of being able to offer good weather practically 365 days a year, especially in the southern part, since in the north it does tend to cool off and rain during the winter. It is one of the main Spanish tourist destinations and there you can find not only wonderful beaches and coves but also many very interesting places to visit.

Anyway, today I would like to focus only on the beaches and coves of Tenerife, where you can find them with different characteristics and thus choose the one that best suits your tastes and needs. Although there are many more than I will recommend, in these you will undoubtedly enjoy a true paradise:

Garden Beach


It's in the Cross port, in the north of the island, and around it there are more than 15,000 square meters of gardens, making it in a spectacular setting. It is 700 meters long and has black sand, having various services such as parking, showers, hammocks, umbrellas, bars and restaurants.


Las Vistas beach


It is one of the most famous on the island and is in the south, specifically in The Christians. It is 850 meters long and it is also white sand. There is a bus stop and it is one of the busiest due to being in one of the most tourist areas. There you can rent jet skis and there is a promenade with several shops, bars and restaurants.

Bajamar pools


It is a small cove that has several natural pools formed by rocks and which are made of sea water. There are 2 large and one small for children and they are in the municipality of La Laguna.

La Tejita Beach


It is in the south, in the town of Passion fruit. It is one kilometer long and is of fine golden sand. Its surf is very strong so it is a favorite for surfers and fans of other water sports. It has a small nudist cove.


Medano Beach


It is in the El Médano area, belonging to Granadilla. It is of fine golden sand and is 2 kilometers long. It is a beach very windy Perfect for surfing and in the surroundings there are several shops, restaurants and a tourist office.

El Confital Beach

It is also in Grandilla, south of La Tejita Beach. It is of black sand and is 200 meters long, along which there is also a promenade with hotels, restaurants and various services. There is a camping area.

Las Americas Beach


It's in Costa Adeje and it is also one of the most famous on the island, so its occupation is usually high throughout the year. It is semi-urban with fine golden sand and in it you can practice sports like surfing, diving or take a ride on a jet ski.


La Caleta


It is next to Playa de Las Américas and is 75 meters long. Their occupation is medium and it's made of stones, not sand. It is small but charming, also having various services and a promenade.

Duque Beach


It is in Costa Adeje and belongs to one of the urbanizations in the area. It is black sand and it has a length of 700 meters. Very close there is a port from which various excursions are made.

Fañabé beach


It is also in Costa Adeje, one of the more tourist areas of the island. They are 650 meters of black sand and there are always many people. It is also close to the port since it belongs to an urbanization close to the previous one.

Seagulls


It is in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital of the island, and is a small nudist cove in which there is usually strong waves.

Las Teresitas Beach


It is also in the capital and there are more than 1,200 meters of fine white sand. There are a couple of beach bars, parking and in the vicinity many bars and restaurants. Its occupation is high.
