An island with a very complete tourist offer that also ensures good weather almost all year round, especially in the southern part. Belongs to the province of las palmas and its capital is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, one of the two most important cities in the Canary Islands together with Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Although there are many things you can see on the island, its beaches are undoubtedly its great attraction, many of them really spectacular and having a great variety that makes you like the type of beach you like, you can find it here. There is infinity so I will try to collect the best beaches and coves in Gran Canaria.

It is in the city of The Gran Canarian palms and it is a true wonder, not only due to its characteristics but also because it is in the heart of the city, a great advantage especially for those who live there since they do not have to practically make trips to enjoy a day at the beach. It has about 4 kilometers of golden sand that are accompanied by a promenade full of bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. In addition, there you will find all kinds of services so you have everything you need to enjoy a fantastic beach day.

It is also in the capital, in a very good situation since it is next to the Leisure port, sports port. It measures one kilometer and is of golden sand, also with a promenade and various services. It is also the most visited by those who live in the city.

El Confital Beach

Another of the capital's beaches, in this case smaller since it does not reach 300 meters in length, with golden sand and rocks. It is a charming beach where the waves are usually strong, so it is very visited by lovers of the surf and windsurfing. For the bath it is somewhat dangerous so it is better to do it in the natural pools that form between the rocks.

Melenara Beach

One of the beaches of Telde, and measures half a kilometer. It is of black sand and in it there are various services such as toilets, showers, changing rooms and a promenade with bars or restaurants. There is also a playground and a windsurfing school, a sport that is practiced especially in summer since it is when the conditions are most favorable.

Tasartico beach

It is in San Nicolás de Tolentino and is a very isolated beach to which those who live on the island usually go since tourists do not usually know it. There is a camping area almost 300 meters from the shore, so if you like camping it will be a fantastic experience.

Maspalomas beach

It is one of the most famous on the island and is in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. It measures 3 kilometers and in one of its points it joins the so-called Playa del Inglés, although in reality it is the same beach only that it changes its name when it reaches that point. There is the Special Natural Reserve of the Dunes of Maspalomas, so the natural environment you find there is one of the most spectacular on the island. There are areas with more people than others, and in some of them nudism is practiced. There are many beach bars and all kinds of services.

English beach

Almost measures 3 kilometers and it is the one that joins the previous one, being a nudist in any of its parts. It has very calm waters and the sand is fine and golden. There are usually many people throughout the year.

Puerto Rico beach

It is in Mogán and it is a atificial Beach, the first of its kind that was made on the island. It is 700 meters long and almost 100 meters wide. It is of fine, golden sand and there are usually many people since it is a beautiful beach and it has a marina and many services, so there comes a time when overcrowding can be annoying.
