Majorca It is one of the Spanish destinations that receives more tourists each summer, all of them attracted by its countless beaches and coves, by its spectacular natural landscapes, by its many places of interest and by its good climate. It is not a destination that is limited only to the summer since the rest of the year also tends to be good weather, although it is true that it is not as good as in the Canary Islands.
Today I would like to write about beaches and coves of Mallorca, making a short summary to be able to show you the ones that I think are the best, although without a doubt many that are also very good and that also deserve to be in it will be left out of the article. Be that as it may, those that are are because they really deserve it and have earned the reputation of being among the best.
Sa Coma
It is 5 kilometers from Porto Cristo and it is the longest beach in the east of Mallorca. Its waters are crystal clear and it is one of the best beaches on the island for windsurfing or diving. It is an ideal beach to go with children since it hardly slopes, and in its surroundings there are many hotels and all kinds of services. It is an urban beach, which together with all of the above makes it always tend to be a little crowded.
Port de Valldemossa
It is also known as Sa Marina or Valldemossa cove and it is a stony beach that is 90 meters long and 15 wide. It has a small port for boats that gives the area a lot of charm, although despite this it is not a beach that has a high degree of occupancy but quite the contrary, there are usually few people.
Platja de Ses Dones
In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island thanks to its totally natural. It is 4 kilometers from Andratx and there is a small jetty that gives it a very special touch. Its crystal clear waters are very calm, making it perfect to go with children. Its length is 160 meters and its width is only 5.
Cala Llombards
It is a very calm cove of white sand and surrounded by vegetation In which you can also find various services to make your beach day more comfortable, such as showers, umbrellas or hammocks. You reach it by the road that goes from Santanyí to Es Llombards and there is a large free car park, which is usually a relief in this type of place.
Cala Falcó
It is a cove of white sand that is 6.5 kilometers from Magaluf and which you reach by going down steep stairs that intermingle with the cliffs, which leaves a beautiful landscape. It is very peculiar since the pines grow in the sand, which leaves a small part to lie in the sun, but there are not usually many people so you will not have problems finding a good place.
They are real
It is a 500 meter long beach that is 12 kilometers from Can Picafort. It is totally recommended since it was declared a Natural Area of Special Interest in 1991 thanks to the fact that it is a totally virgin beach and with many dunes, making it one of the most beautiful and spectacular on the island. In order to visit it you must get to Son Serra de Marina and from there you will see it, very close to the Serra Nova Yacht Club.
Cala Mitjana
It is a white sand beach 100 meters long and 50 wide. It is in a perfect environment since there are hardly any buildings in the surroundings. Is something isolated, which means that not many people go, so you can find total tranquility there.
Cala Mesquida
It is in the north of the island, in Capdepera, and it was also declared Natural Area of Special Interest. It is of fine sand and also has many dunes that intermingle with pine trees and with colonies of seagulls that are in the area. It is a semi-urban beach that usually has a lot of traffic and is purely touristy.
