Sforzesco Castle in Milan

One of the most interesting and visited cities in the world is Milan, which offers a great variety of tourism to all those who decide to dare to get to know it. There you will be able to see spectacular monuments that reflect the history of a country that has greatly influenced the world. One of the great attractions it has is the Sforzesco Castle, which was once the seat and residence of the Duchy of Milan, as well as one of the great European palaces.

It's in the old town from the city, so it is very easy to find it even if you are not looking for it. Inside it has a spectacular park, the Sempione Park. Its construction began in the 14th century and was rebuilt several times over time. It suffered serious damage with the bombings of the year 1943 during World War II but it was completely rebuilt and it seems that it has not suffered any of that. It is of very valuable architectural interest.

In this castle you can currently find several of the museums one of the most important in the city, which is an authentic experience when visiting the best art collections in one place. The museums here are the Museum of Ancient Art, the Furniture Museum, the Museum of Musical Instruments and the Applied Arts Collection, the Achille Bertarelli collection and two sections of the Archaeological Museum (that of Egypt and that of Prehistory).

You can also enjoy a visit to the Pinacoteca del Castello Sforzesco, in which there is a spectacular art collection that includes pieces such as the Madonna by Andrea Mantegna Trivulzio, the Piedad Rondanini, the Leonardo da Vinci manuscript (Codex Trivulzianus) or the last sculpture made by Michelangelo.
