The Comic Strip Route in Brussels

In Brussels there are a lot of interesting things, plus many others that are famous all over the world. When you think of something very famous in this city, it is likely that the first thing that comes to mind is chocolate, certainly delicious and that if you are there it is "obligatory" to taste it of different types.

As for the places to visit, there are many interesting things but today I would like to write about one that is particularly striking to me and I think that those of you on the other side will also do so. It's about the "Comic Book Route", a wonder that will take you to discover the best artists and characters in the city in this art. It is one of the most famous and recommended routes if you are going to be in Brussels, covering more and more places every year.

This route arose from the idea of organizing tours of tourist streets and others that are not so much but always with something original as the protagonist: comics. Undoubtedly something logical since Belgium is the birthplace of comics and here are some of the most famous cartoonists and characters. In fact, the famous Tintin It came out of a Belgian newspaper back in 1929.

There are from statues and monuments to graffiti, murals and all kinds of supports to give a deserved tribute to all the cartoonists. The most interesting thing about the route is between the Grand place, the Saint Géry neighborhood and the Palace of Justice area. There are many works that can be seen along the way, such as the "Hergé - Tintin in America Mural", the "Mitacq Mural - La Patrouille des Castors" or the "Verron & Yan - Odilon Verjus Mural".

If you are comic lovers, it will certainly be a must-see on your visit to Brussels. And if you are not, surely after doing it you will start to be. Highly recommended for any age.
