Visit Zagreb

The Croatian capital, Zagreb, is one of the most beautiful cities in the country, with a style very similar to that of Prague and other cities in the central European part, in addition to having a very special elegance in its architecture, especially in the old town, where you can find a lot of alleys full of shops, cafes and restaurants.

It is certainly a must-see city if you are going to be in Croatia, and if you have not considered it yet, you should do it since it is worth it. The old part of the city is medieval in style, something that I am particularly passionate about, and in that area you find the National Theater, a spectacular neo-baroque style building that has its origins in the 19th century.

During your walk through Zagreb you can discover places like the Ban Jelacic Square (the most famous and important in the city), the Dolac (one of the most picturesque markets you can visit), the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady (dates from the 11th century) or the Church of San Marcos (from the 14th century) . All of them are places with great historical value and where you can discover the most important Croatian history.

In Zagreb there is a lot of cultural life and proof of this are the 30 museums, 20 theaters and 14 art galleries that are scattered throughout the city. Among the most important are the Mimara Museum and the Contemporary Art Museum. There is also a zoo where you can enjoy a family day watching animals, in addition to a Natural Park about 15 kilometers from the city and where you can enjoy fantastic scenery and places like a ski center, various waterfalls , caves and other natural phenomena.
