Since not all of us are lucky enough to have a terrace to prepare it without leaving home, the alternative is usually to visit a park or picnic area where we can prepare it outdoors.
In this article I tell you about 10 sites from the province of Barcelona that are especially recommended for having a barbecue with your friends or family. Take note of the location and prices before making a decision.
Can Xec picnic area (Montornés del Vallés)
In Montornés del Vallés, on a dirt road through which you must circulate carefully, there is the Merendero Can Xec, which is undoubtedly one of the best in the area. On its website (canxec.com) you will see that there is an opening calendar that lets you know what days you can go and what days it is closed.
Schedule: They open at 9:30 am and close at 7:30 pm (6:30 pm in winter).
Location: Camí de Vilanova 53. 08170, Montornés del Vallés (Barcelona).
Services: Parking for 300 cars, bar service, toilets, trampolines, soccer field, tent for 100 people, room for 150 people and covered barbecues. In total there are 300 tables of different sizes and 187 barbecues.

Can Coll Torrent (Cerdañola del Vallés)
El Torrent de Can Coll is an area with a restaurant and exclusive space for barbecues in Cerdañola del Vallés. On its website you can see several photos of the enclosure, which is surrounded by nature and allows you to visit the Can Coll area.
Barbecue hours: 09:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: Ctra. Barcelona per Horta km 2. 08290, Cerdañola del Vallés (Barcelona).
Services: Parking, bar and games area.
Barbecue prices: Grill and firewood (€ 10), charcoal sack (€ 5) and bundle of firewood slats (€ 4.5). They also sell ice, bread, aioli, drinks and snacks.

Santa Creu D’Olorda (Barcelona)
In the Parc de Collserola, near Sant Feliu de Llobregat and Molins de Rei, is Santa Creu D’Olorda. The environment is magnificent to enjoy the flora and fauna of the place, in addition to having privileged views. If you add to this the possibility of having a barbecue, the visit is more than recommended.
Winter time: Monday to Thursday and holidays from 09:00 to 17:00.
Summer schedule: Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Barbecue Begues Val Paraíso (Begues)
In Begues, in the Baix Llobregat region, there is a highly recommended picnic area that is open on weekends and holidays except when on vacation. That is why it is recommended to consult the calendar that appears on its website (barbecuebegues.com).
Winter time: From 09:00 to 18:00 (use of barbecues until 16:00).
Summer schedule: From 09:00 to 20:00 (use of barbecues until 18:00).
Price of admission: € 10 per vehicle (up to 5 people per vehicle). € 3 per person if you go on a motorcycle or on foot. Firewood costs € 2 more (€ 3.5 without ticket).
Services: There is no stipulated parking area, but you can park near the tables as long as the car does not disturb. They rent mortars, tongs, paellas (from 4 to 125 diners), porrones ... The large barbecues, which they call "Els tres Focs" and "Foc Rodó", have a rental cost of 5 euros (you must leave € 20 as a deposit). It has a capacity of 1,200 people thanks to its 154 tables and can be booked from 25 people (if you are less it is not necessary to book). There is also a bar serving sandwiches, drinks, ice cream ...

Gualba Park (Gualba)
It is a beautiful park that I recommend to everyone, not just those who plan to organize a barbecue.It is in one of the lungs of Catalonia, within the Montseny Natural Park, which is a Natural Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. It is a perfect place to enjoy a day outdoors with family and friends away from the mobile phone.
It has two barbecue areas and wooden tables to eat between trees. There is also a room called «Natura» that costs 260 euros a day and has a maximum capacity of 50 people.
Winter time: From 09:30 to 18:00 (it is closed on Mondays).
Summer schedule: From 09:30 to 20:00.
Services: Free parking, swimming pool sinks, children's games, soccer field and a limited capacity for 600 people, so prior reservation is recommended.
Price of admission: € 5 per person from 2 years (€ 9 on weekends and holidays with entrance to the pool)
Barbecue price: Wad of firewood / charcoal (€ 5) and free grills (you must leave the card as a deposit).

Our Lady of the Angels picnic area (La Roca del Vallés)
About 20 minutes from Barcelona, in La Roca del Vallés, the Merendero Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles becomes an alternative to consider for a picnic.
Schedule: Weekends and holidays from 09:00 to 19:00. In August they close for holidays.
Services: Parking, bar, children's area and interior rooms for celebrations.
Bookings: The outdoor tables are not reserved. The law of the one who arrives first sits, so it is advisable to get up early.

Merendero Font de les Planes (Les Planes de Vallvidrera)
In this picnic area of Les Planes de Vallvidrera you can breathe a very good atmosphere. They are open all year except Tuesdays except public holidays and there is everything one would expect to find to spend a pleasant day outdoors.
Schedule: From 09:00 to 19:00.
Bookings: You can rent a table for four people for € 10.
Prices: Grill rental (€ 5), bundle of firewood (€ 6) and charcoal bag (€ 5). They also rent paelleros and paelleros support, although they do not specify the price on the web (fontlesplanes.com).
Services: Parking, toilets and a restaurant specialized in grilled meats and vegetables.

Can Via picnic area (La Palma de Cervelló)
At the Can Via picnic area it always smells like barbecue. In fact, even when it rains, since there are tables that are covered so that the rain is not an excuse to enjoy a day of good grilled meat and calçots. On its website (canviaberenador.blogspot.com.es) you will find all the information. The most important is the one I summarize below.
Hours: Weekends and holidays from 09:00 to 19:00. During the week you can also go, but you have to go at least 30 people and giving advance notice by phone.
Services: Parking, toilets, bar, fountains and recreational areas.
Reservations: The outdoor tables cannot be reserved, but the indoor ones can (they keep them until 11:00 am). All indoor tables can seat 12 people. They rent barbecue with grill and firewood, and they also sell bundles of pine or oak firewood (on the web they do not specify prices). There is the possibility of ordering calçots until Wednesday of the same week that the Can Via picnic area is visited.

Aidina Park (Claramunt Tower)
In Torre de Claramunt, in the Anoia region, Aidina Park are highly recommended facilities beyond the equestrian activities that are carried out. It is a place surrounded by forests with beautiful panoramic views of the castles in the area.
Schedule: Weekends and holidays from 11:00 to 18:00.
Services: Covered picnic with capacity for 250 people and uncovered picnic for 350 people. Parking with capacity for more than 120 cars. They do not accept payment with credit or debit cards.

Barbecues Parc Les Camanyes (Torrelles de Llobregat)
In Torrelles de Llobregat, quite close to Barcelona city, Babacoes Parc Les Camanyes is a good place to have an outdoor barbecue in a 100% natural environment.
