Prague National Museum

Inside of the National Museum You can find five specialized institutes: the Museum of Natural Sciences, the Historic museum, the National Museum Library, the Náprstek Museum of Asia and the Czech Museum of Music. Five great museums in one and where you can find from works of art to unique pieces of collectibles. Here you will find very important documents from natural history, prehistory, the country's own history and some that also come from abroad.

It houses very important documents and materials in fields such as mineralogy, geology, paleontology, hydrobiology, botany, zoology, anthropology, prehistory, archeology, ethnography, Czech history, theater history, Asian culture, musicology or bibliology. Without a doubt, a very complete place where you can learn a lot on each of the visits you make.

The main building is at the top of the Wenceslas Square It was built between 1885 and 1891. A bomb caused a lot of damage to the structure during World War II, but fortunately the collections were not damaged and it could be reopened two years later. A place worth visiting as you will see works of art from different fields, as well as enjoying the architecture of each of its buildings.
