The Grand Canal in Venice

There is no doubt that if there is a city known for its canals, that is Venice, beauty located on a group of islands that extends into a marshy lagoon in the Adriatic sea northeast of Italy. One of the most beautiful, romantic and special places that you can visit in the whole world. A charming city that thanks to its attractive canals becomes a fascinating destination for all those who visit Europe in general and Italy in particular.

The Grand Canal of Venice it is like the great avenue of a city, as if they were the Champs Elysées in Paris or the Gran Vía in Madrid. The main artery that moves the city and the best thing you can do is embark on a vaporetto (traditional boat) or in a gondola, which is smaller than the previous one. A multitude of boats of all types and sizes you will find while you take a leisurely walk.

From that main channel you can access many others that will take you throughout the city, which has no less than 150 and has 400 bridges that run through each of its 118 small islands. While you are taking a walk through the Great channel You can see great architectural masterpieces that intermingle with old buildings and houses and medieval markets.

Along the way you will meet famous palaces like El Rincón Palazzo Grimani and San Luca, in addition to many squares, churches and monasteries, almost all of them with access to the public, so I recommend that you go in time because there are many things you can see while taking a very romantic walk. Around of the San Marco square You will find the main points of interest and you will feel as if you were in one of so many movies that you have seen so many times where this famous channel came out.
