The Empire State in New York

Travel to New York It is probably the wish of almost all the people who live in the world, and when you do it you must be clear that there are several sites that you have to visit, yes or yes, then you have many that are optional depending on the taste of each one, But there are a few that it should be considered a crime to be in the Big Apple and not go even to take your photo on duty. One of those places is the Empire state, emblematic skyscraper that for more than 40 years was the tallest building in the world until in 1972 the first tower of the World Trade Center was built. Unfortunately, and as we all know, since the 2001 attacks, it is once again the tallest building in the city. It is located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street.

It is so imposing that it has the honor of being one of the Seven Wonders of the World and also a National Historical Monument. Its height is 443 meters, although its terrace is somewhat below, at 381, from which you can get the best views of New York and take some luxurious photographs. It has no less than 102 floors and 73 elevators, totally necessary to be able to move the thousands of people who visit it every day.

It has many bulbs that illuminate it at night, and when the day is special it changes the traditional white of the lights for the celebration colors, such as at Christmas, St. Patrick's Day or as it was when Spain won the World Cup, forming the Spanish flag with its lights. In 2007 and on the occasion of the premiere of the film The Simpsons, he "dressed" entirely in yellow.

The empire state observatory It is one of the most famous outdoor viewpoints in the world, and an estimated 120 million people have already enjoyed its luxurious 360º views. Many films have been recorded there, such as "Something to Remember" by Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, who after exchanging several letters decide to meet at the Empire State lookout on Valentine's Day. On the second floor is the NY Skyride, a flight simulator that takes you on an air trip through the city for 25 minutes, a great alternative if you don't want to pay for a helicopter tour or if flying is not your thing.
