Teide National Park, wonderful

The Teide National Park, in Tenerife, It was declared World Heritage by UNESCO and is a true example of vegetation, animal life and, above all, landscape. Mount Teide is the most representative symbol of the Canary Islands and, above all, of the island of Tenerife, where you can see it from many corners on either side. It is the highest peak in Spain and, as you go up by car, you see both the island of Tenerife itself and the other islands, achieving one of the most beautiful landscapes you can see in the Canary Islands.

To get to the Park you don't need anything special, but if you want climb Teide you have to request a permit, they always give it to you, but you have to request it because that way they have controlled the number of people who go up each day. The walk until you reach the crater is impressive, and if you plan to do it you should prepare yourself physically since as you get taller you may lack a little oxygen, especially if you don't use to walk or you smoke.

If you are not going up, nothing happens, you have a lot to see in the surroundings. Bicycle routes, hiking or just a walk to fill your memory card with lots of photos. A couple of kilometers before arriving there is a restaurant where you can stop to eat having all the Tenerife island at your feet. Of course, if you are going to eat in Tenerife There are a couple of things that you can't stop trying, like Crumbled potatoes with mojo (be careful, they are addictive!) or the almogrote, which is like a typical spread La Gomera island and that it is made from various fermented cheeses. Delicious with toast. The best wines in Tenerife are D.O. Tacoronte-Acentejo. Everything looks good, right? Well, imagine it in the middle of the mountain and with spectacular views.
