The Peyto Lake It is a lake of almost perfect glacial origin, one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, it is located in Banff National Park, in the Rocky Mountains of Canada. It has a Turquoise Color practically implausible, the result of the erosion of the water on the rocks, which give off particles with a brilliant hue.
If you are lucky enough to visit Peyto Lake, you will see a incomparable place, idyllic and wonderful. Located at an altitude of about 1880 meters, a length of 2.8 km. and a width close to 800 meters, being its total area of 5.3 square km.
It is accessed from a natural viewpoint that is located on the lake from the Icefields Parkway, Highway 93, also known as the «Ice Fields Highway». Next lookout there is a place to park the cars and from there start a path to hikers with places prepared for camping.
