Rio de Janeiro: carnival, beaches and party


Rio de Janeiro one of the most important in Brazil and considered by many to be the most beautiful city in South America. For people born in Rio de Janeiro, the name of the cariocas. It is the second largest city in the country, after São Paulo, with which it forms the Megalopolis of the Brazilian Southeast.

The city is famous for Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, by the giant statue of Christ redeemer on Cerro del Corcovado, for the annual celebration of Carnival, and by the monolithic mountain known as Sugar Loaf.

The carnival celebrated in Rio de Janeiro is famous for the schools of samba who parade in front of the spectators in a sambadrome. The whole city is upset second week of February to celebrate Carnival. Reservations are required well in advance and it is common for hotels to raise their prices and offer the entire week.
