Tips for healthy sunbathing

As sure many of you are about to leave holidays to a sunny place with Paradise beaches, we give you a few tips so that the sun does not affect you negatively.

- Use at least a factor 15 sunscreen. Apply it half an hour before exposing yourself to the sun. Reapply it every two hours or every time you get out of the water. If you have very white skin, use a factor 30 or 40 protector.

- Wear loose (wide) clothing to let the air run.

- Avoid sunbathing from 12 noon until 4 in the afternoon.

- Use sunglasses with 100% UV protection (not those sold in the Chinese).

- Do not use perfumes or cosmetics if you are going to sunbathe. They can cause stains on our skin.

- Avoid eating photosensitizing foods before sunbathing. These are contraceptives, diuretics, and anti-inflammatories. They can cause spots on the skin.

- Children under the age of 4 do not have to be exposed to the sun. If they do, you have to put a hat on whether it's sunny or not.

- Drink plenty of fluids. Important especially for young and old. You have to drink 2 to 4 liters of water daily.

- Cloudy days can also cause burns to your skin.

- Use more sun protection if you are near reflective surfaces (snow, water, ice).
