Located in North Africa, Morocco It offers a world of possibilities to any traveler who dares to enter it. And it is that this country that has managed to preserve its identity and customs despite being very close to Europe, offers a lot of experiences thanks to its culture, its contrasts, the mix of colors, its climate, its landscapes, its aromas, its flavors and, of course, its cities, where there are thousands of things worth discovering.
Today in Hard Hobbit To Break we have decided we have decided to enter this exotic and magical country to know its main cities. Would you like to join us? We assure you that you will not regret it!
First of all we want to talk about Marrakech, the most visited Moroccan city and one of the most important cultural centers in the country. Those who visit it will be able to enjoy a unique sensory experience. The most touristic place is the Djema el Fna square, one of the busiest in the world, as well as being the heart of the medina. Declared a World Heritage Site by the Unesco, it houses stately homes adapted for tourists, hotels and, of course, its traditional market. It is also worth the visit to the New City.
The most populous city in Morocco is Casablanca, in addition to being the main industrial, commercial and port center of the country. Although it is a modern city, it also preserves its historical heritage. Of course, do not expect to find here the exoticism of other parts of the country, but a spa town and modern. Among its main points of interest we highlight the Mohamed V Square and the Hassan II mosque, which at its top has a laser beam that marks the direction of Mecca.
As it could not be otherwise, we also have to talk about Rabat, the capital of Morocco, which offers a surprising mix of historical tradition and modernity. Known as "the city of gardens", Rabat houses one of the most important monuments in the country. We are referring to the Hassan Tower, one of the three great viewpoints made by the Almohads. Also worth visiting is the Medina, the Almohad walls, the Chellah Sellah Necropolis, the Royal Palace and the Modern City.
Nor could we forget Tangier, a bustling city located in northern Morocco full of monuments, picturesque beaches and spectacular landscapes. In addition, it is a city with a good tourist infrastructure. The city's highlights include bazaars, especially the Great Sokko. The Dar el-Makzen Palace and the Museum of the Diplomatic Mission of America are also worth visiting.
We continue our tour of the most important cities of Morocco in Agadir, which is located in the southern part of the country. Without a doubt, the main attraction of this modern city is its location, since it is surrounded by the Sahara Desert, the Antiatlas and a lot of natural parks and isolated beaches. The city has large buildings, cafes, wide roads and important hotel chains, so it has a certain European flair. Its modern promenade and the Medina Nueva stand out, among many other places of interest.
Finally, we want to talk about Fez, the second most populous city in Morocco. With a mysterious and medieval air, this place is considered the capital religious and culture of the country. There are many things you can do in Fez, but you cannot forget to visit the Medina, the souks of Fez el-Bali and the terraces of the Ville Nouvelle. Also, you should know that the city houses one of the oldest universities in the world.
