Less than a month ago the winners of the National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest 2015, a contest that has become a tradition for the prestigious magazine, which every year searches for the best travel-related photographs, whether taken by professionals or amateurs.
The 10 winning photographs were chosen from 18,000 images that Travellers from around the world they sent to the magazine. Of course, only the first three have received great prizes. Want to discover the best travel photographs of 2015 according to National Geographic? Well then we show you!
10. Highlanders
In tenth place we find a photograph taken by Bartomiej Jurecki in Rzepiska, Poland: "Highlanders". As you can see for yourself, a partner showing their work supplies. The architect of the photograph describes it as follows: "Traditional haymaking in Poland".
9. Catching a duck
Sarah Wouters has been honored to be ranked ninth with her “Catching a duck” photograph, a snapshot that was taken in Nong Kai, Thailand. In it, as the name of the photo indicates, we can see two children trying to catch a duck. Curiously, one of the little ones is wearing Real Madrid pants.
8. Kushti, Indian Wrestling
The following photograph on the list has been taken in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India by Alain Schroeder. This is "Kushti, Indian Wrestling", an image that shows the rest of two fighters in a combat of kushti, the traditional form of Indian wrestling.
7. The power of few
In seventh place we find “The power of few”, a photo that Stefane Berube took in the Rhino Sanctuary of Ziwa (Uganda). According to the photographer, the previous day she had spent the whole day trying to get a good image of a white rhino, which is at risk of extinctionBut she didn't make it until the next morning, when she woke up to three rhinos grazing in front of her.
6. A Night at Deadvlei

5. Romania, land of fairy tales
The fifth place goes to “Romania, land of fairy tales”, an image taken by Eduard Gutescu that shows some beautiful hills in Bran, Brasov (Romania).
4. Sauna in the Sky
At the gates of the top 3 has been "Sauna in the Sky", an image of Stefano Zardini. It shows a sauna located 2,800 meters high. This place is located in the heart of the Dolmitas, specifically on Mount Lagazuoi (Italian Alps).
3. Camel Ardah
The third prize went to Ahmed Al Toqi and his photograph "Camel Ardah", in which you can see a career of Camel Ardah, one of the traditional camel racing styles in Oman.
2. Gravel Workmen
Secondly we find "Gravel Workmen", an image taken by Faisal Azim in Chittagong, Bangladesh. In it you can see three workers gravel looking out the window.
1. Whale Whisperers
The fair winner of the 27th edition of these prestigious awards is Anaur Patjane. And is that the photograph "Whale Whisperers" is really amazing. In it you can see a group of divers diving around a whale humpback and its newborn calf. This snapshot was taken in Roca Partida, in the Revillagigedo Islands (Mexico), a place full of life that is not yet part of the natural heritage of UNESCO.
