Pontedeume, Galician paradise for the September holidays

Although the vast majority of Spaniards have already joined their jobs, there are still some lucky people who have a few days of vacation to enjoy in September, a precious time to dedicate themselves to rural tourism, which each year gains more followers, and of which Galicia It is the owner of truly captivating places.

One of the most beautiful locations that I have known in that beautiful land is Pontedeume, a town in A Coruña that has all the essential elements to make your stay there memorable and, of course, recommended. Its historic center is full of cobbled streets full of life and top quality tapas bars and at very popular prices, with raw materials from the land, both vegetable and marine, for being Pontedeume a Coast town.

Beautiful prints in its surroundings, where it highlights in a special way the entire journey you can take to reach the Caaveiro monastery, through the Fragas del Eume, its Natural Park, and which has spectacular views. As great as beauty is also her Monte Breamo, a place of worship for the inhabitants of the place, where they celebrate 2 annual pilgrimages of great tradition, one of them on September 29, and where they welcome with grace all those to come.

Its big parties, "Festas das Peras", are celebrated these days, from 7 to 11, and the people will make you catch their joy from the departure of the Momaros (Giants) and Bigheads, to the final touch that will put another pilgrimage, this one by boat across the river. To stay, you can choose between hotels and hostels in the center of the town, as well as in more rural establishments, such as Castelo House, from where the 2nd photograph belongs. Whatever your choice, I am sure you will enjoy an unforgettable vacation that will make you come back, as all those who have known it always return.
