Visit Arcos de la Frontera

In the last weeks I have told you several things about various Spanish places for you to visit on your holidays or to be your destination. Today I will continue there and I will go to Andalusia, at least virtually. Arcos de la Frontera It is a municipality that is about 30 kilometers from Jerez de la Frontera and that is an authentic gem, a typical Andalusian white town. A fantastic place that has a lot to contribute on your trip.

Among the most important places to visit in Arcos de la Frontera are the Palace of the Count of the Eagle (a marvel in the Mudejar Gothic style built between the 15th and 16th centuries and located on the Cuesta de Belén) or the Arcos Castle, a military construction that is at the highest point of the town, without a doubt a spectacular place to take pictures having the whole town at your feet. Totally recommended, especially if you like to enjoy the great landscapes.

Other very interesting places, both of a religious nature, are the Parish Church of Santa María de la Asunción (also of Mudejar origin and built between the XIV and XVI centuries) and the Church of San Pedro, from the XIV century and which was built on the remains of an Arab fortress. You also have walls, mills and a lot of monuments that reflect the footprint that the Muslims left in the city.

In addition, in Arcos de la Frontera you have many things to do. In the main square you have a lot of bars, restaurants and terraces where you can try the most typical products of the place and relax after a day wandering around. There is usually a lot of traffic around there but it is worth going there as there are also many shops of all kinds, so getting bored you will not get bored.
