Vacation on Curacao Island in the Caribbean

I recently discovered this island on a television program and it has me in love. It reminds me a lot of Amsterdam and several Dutch cities, something logical since it is one of the islands that belongs to the Netherlands Antilles. This island is a perfect recreation of the Dutch capital but in Caribbean waters, being also a historical area that has been declared a World Heritage Site.

The Curacao island It is the largest and most populated in the Netherlands Antilles and is in the southern Caribbean, very close to Venezuela. Despite the fact that its name is very Portuguese, there is a lot of Dutch influence on the island, in addition to a large colony. The capital, Willemstad, is a marvel with pastel colored houses that is very reminiscent of the Dutch and that we have seen so many times. An estimated 50 different cultures coexist in this city.

The color that can be seen in the capital is a clear sample of its personality and culture, reflecting the joy, the freedom and the great diversity of inhabitants that there are. If you combine all that with the excellent beaches and Coral reefs which correspond to being in the Caribbean, you will undoubtedly be facing one of the most spectacular contrasts and landscapes you can see.

The Curacao weather It is very mild throughout the year and tourism is the strong point of its economy since it is also outside the areas that are usually affected by hurricanes. One of its great attractions is the call Blue Room, a cavity under the sea formed by different colors and which is perfect for diving lovers. You can also practice various sports, taste a very rich gastronomy with various influences, visit a spa or have fun in leisure places such as restaurants, discos, bars or casinos.
