The Seven Wonder Cities of the world

At the end of last year we learned that Barcelona was among the 28 finalists to become one of the Seven Wonder Cities of the World, an initiative launched by Bernard Weber in 2011 within his entity «New7Wonders«, After having proposed to choose the New Seven Wonders of the World and the Seven Wonders of Nature.

The chose

As explained by Weber, a renowned Swiss millionaire, the election has been made among more than 1,200 candidates from 220 countries around the world. A total of 28 candidates were nominated by a panel of experts as finalists. However, they were later reduced to 21 and then to 14, which are the ones that have finally fought to be among the Seven Wonder Cities of the World. The best thing is that the winners have been chosen through a wide range of platforms and devices, being able, even, to use the vote by mail through some postcards.
