Sidi Ifni

Sidi Ifni It is located on the African Atlantic coast in Morocco, almost at the same height as the Canary Islands. The Spanish atmosphere and its architecture Art-decò are two reasons to visit this beautiful city. In addition, the one that in its day was known as "The City of Flowers", enjoys a special microclimate that has become today a meeting place for lovers of surf.

When you get to the city center, the first thing you will see will be the old Spain Square, today known as the Hassan II Square. It is a building with rounded shapes that, at the top of its facade, and carved in stone, displays the pre-constitutional shield. In the Plaza, in addition, there are also the town hall and the old building Governor's Palace, currently conditioned for official receptions and as a residence for distinguished visitors.

All the buildings are painted in pastel colors and are in very good condition. Art-decò buildings abound like that of the main church, which is now the Courthouse, or the Hotel España, today Bellevue Hotel.

In June their week-long celebrations take place. They choose these days since the number of tourists for these dates is less. All the inhabitants celebrate these days with music and lots of food. The celebration takes place on an old airfield.

As we have already mentioned, the wind has begun to bring income to the area, since Ifni appears on the map of the international surf. Beware of waves since they can be enormous. The surfers who practice here are experts in the matter and also know the problems with the strong currents that occur in the area.

Dare with this appointment with surf and calm.
