What makes this place special is its impressive environment natural. And here you can find some of the best beaches in the entire country. We are talking about a small village of five kilometers long surrounded by green mountains and the calm and crystalline waters of the Aegean Sea.
Continue our journey in Goreme, in the center of the Cappadocia, a town that is located on the volcanic rocks that give way to the Goreme National Park, an extension declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Located in the Antalya province, in the Mediterranean area of the country, Demre hides the remains of the ancient Lycian city of MyraThat is to say, the place where Saint Nicholas lived, or in other words, the famous Santa Claus.
A place that cannot be missing from our list is Kas, a small fishing town steeped in history. And here you can find, for example, a fully preserved Lycian tomb or an ancient theater in good conditions. We continue our tour of the most beautiful villages in Turkey in Halfeti, a town located on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River. What makes this place special is that in the 90s a large area was flooded due to the construction of a dam on its channel. So the villagers had to move a few meters higher. Today the waters cover half of the old town and ferry excursions bordering the rooftops and minarets of mosques are very typical.
