Bridges to see in London

Important: do you know how many bridges they cross the river Thames? Today we are talking about some of the best known.

- Vauxhall
Built in 1916, this is the first London bridge on which trams ran. It is considered unique due to the bronze figures placed at its ends.

- Lambeth
On one of the banks of the river, the massive Lambeth Palace building is virtuously displayed as the Archbishop of Canterbury's London residence. The bridge consists of a total of five arches that stand out for their striking red color.

- Westminster
Westminster Bridge is one of the most visited especially at night for all those who want to take photos of the St. Stephen's Tower, which houses the famous Big-Ben.

- Waterloo
This is characterized by being a grandiose grandiose construction offering one of the most beautiful views of London. It was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. It was made of reinforced concrete and stone, during the Second World War. Its name was chosen for the victorious Battle of Waterloo in 1815.

- Blackfriars
Its construction was carried out in 1869. This bridge offers magnificent views of St Paul's Cathedral and the old town of London, to the left of the river. You can also see Shakespeare's Globe Theater. The world of theater, cinema, and great shows can be seen from this classic bridge.

- London bridge
The history of this bridge dates back to the time of the Roman invasion. Later in 1179, King Enrique ordered the construction of a new bridge, which in the middle had a chapel dedicated to what was Saint Thomas Beckett. The heads of traitors are known to have been exposed at the ends of this bridge in those dark times.
