If you want to know one of the last remaining virgin islands in the Caribbean, your destination for this vacation is: Bonaire. This small island is managing to stay slightly affected by development, making it a dream destination. If you decide to visit it, you can choose activities as relaxing as bird watching or just doing nothing.


Bonaire is a paradise for those who like to practice scuba diving and snorkel. This island doesn't draw large crowds like its neighbor Aruba, where you can even spend some evenings in one of their small casinos. Instead, the turquoise waters of Bonaire invite travelers to discover colorful clouds of fishes tropical.

It's funny, the flamingos they almost exceed the island's human population. There are approximately 200 different species of birds (there are not only flamingos) among which you can observe: pelicans, parrots, parakeets, herons, hummingbirds, etc. So remember to take some good binoculars. The Buenos Aires they jealously protect their precious surroundings. Although they anxiously seek tourism to come to their beautiful island, they are not interested in creating another Aruba.


Unlike some islands in the area, Bonaire is not only surrounded by reefs coral you can also discover the top an underwater mountain that is around it. The island is located near the coast of Latin America, just 81 kilometers (50 miles) north of Venezuela. The capital is Kralendijk.
